I’m amazed at how many people were talking about The Descriptive Camera last week. The project site received over 500,000 views and the tweets, emails, and calls were pouring in for a couple days, mostly very supportive. There was a lot of confusion about my purpose for making this prototype. I understand why; not everyone knows my work and how I like to play with technology. There’s a quote from me in this BetaBeat article that might help people who don’t understand:
“People think it’s neat and interesting, but there’s a lot of confusion, with people saying, ‘Why would you ever want something like this?’” said Mr. Richardson. “It’s a question I never ask when I make something. I make what I want to make and I don’t ask why.”
Check out the tech section of my site to see the other things I’ve made.
